Sumbal incident: HC takes note of circulation of medical report on social media | KNO

Srinagar, May 28 (KNO) : Soon after the medical report regarding the Sumbal incident went viral, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Tuesday took serious note of circulation of the medical examination. The court issued notice to Inspector General Police (IGP) Kashmir zone and Medical Superintendent SKIMS in this regard. A medical examination report of SKIMS was circulated on the social media which confirmed that there were no indications that the three year old victim was raped. The police had filed the chargesheet which charges the accused with the rape. Earlier, widespread protests erupted in Kashmir against the alleged rape of a minor girl in Sumbal, leaving one youth dead and many injured.(KNO)
